Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
A gentle, light touch therapy for stress reduction and nervous system resiliency. Working with the structures of the body that surround and support our brain and spinal cord, this therapy is a gentle, non-invasive approach that assists the body in processing experiences and following it's natural unwinding process towards health. This approach creates the conditions for periods of deep settling and equilibrium within the nervous system that benefit the entire body, and the entire being.

During a session you will be fully clothed, sitting in a chair to start and then lying on a massage table in a supported and comfortable way. Session work involves a very light, gentle touch. There may be long periods of essentially still, motionless contact at your feet, your head (cranium) or your sacrum (the triangular bone at the bottom of the spine).
Plenty of pillows, bolsters, blankets, and a heated table are available. It is important that you feel comfortable and safe. Please ask for any adjustments you need to the lighting, temperature, etc. PLEASE NOTE: It can be hard to ask for what you need; even something as simple as another blanket or different/no music. We wholeheartedly encourage you to practice asking. We are practicing with you. It is part of the healing.
It often takes some time and dialogue to get your comfort just right so you can begin to relax. You will be guided through this process. Establishing comfort is an important first step that ensures that what unfolds in the session is about you and not occurring in reaction to a feeling of lack of safety with the therapist or comfort on the table.
Sessions often involve a process of letting go of patterns that inhibit your health and vitality. You may experience a wide range of sensations and emotions as patterns of energy held in the body are released/reorganized. Once these patterns begin to shift, there are positive changes in your fluids, tissues, bones and
“potency” - an energy effect within the body.
No part of this therapy should be painful in any way. At times clients may experience some sensations and emotions that feel uncomfortable, these are simply an effect of releasing and processing old patterns that are ready to change.
After each session, we take some time after you are off the table to check in about how you are doing. This is a great opportunity to find words for your experience and reflect on how differently you feel after your session.
It is important to note that while a single session can have noticeable effects, it often takes multiple sessions to achieve the deep and long lasting results that are possible with this work. Your nervous system takes time to shift, and the sense of safety builds on each previous session, allowing it to settle more deeply over time.
